2018 Chardonnay
Brilliant pale straw in colour, this wine is an elegant expression of regional cool climate character with aromas of white peach and nectarine complemented by vanilla from the new oak.
A medium weight, which broadens on the palate with creamy malo character, while retaining crisp acidity, giving the wine drive along the palate. Great length and a clean finish.
Perfect with oysters, terrines, and seafoods.

“Talk about value for money. This is quite excellent. Tense, long, a little tart perhaps but so well honed. Built to be cellared, arguably. Honeysuckle, chalk, lemon, nectarine and white peach characters with smoky/creamy oak as an afterthought. It’s one of those where you a) love it and then b) wonder if there’s quite enough flesh on the palate, and then c) know that a few years in a cool, dark place will be richly rewarded.”
